I think the trend of scanning faces is akin to people xeroxing their asses: it's just wrong.
What's great about scan art is that it's a bit like collage and a bit like photography. You treat the picture plane like a tray. There isn't much depth of field. A black background is almost mandatory. And still the possibilities seem endless. I plan to extend this series soon.
